Background
Our client had an ageing solution supporting market messaging. There were regular service issues associated with the solution, which was impacting their bottom line as a result of a reduced opportunity to charge their clients for the service. Our client was embarking on a large strategic initiative that would utilise this capability and they, therefore, required a solution that was future-proofed.
What is the challenge?
They needed to understand what options they had to develop their current solution/work with their incumbent supplier or look to utilise a Commercial Off The Shelf product. This included understanding the feasibility of upgrading the product, capabilities’ fit and Total Cost of Ownership of a new solution including the implementation, run and support cost.
How did r10 help?
r10 ran the as-is and to-be analysis which supported the RFP. We used the requirements to shape the RFP and define the weighted scoring criteria.
r10 ran a Due Diligence exercise on the client’s preferred supplier to ensure it could meet the commercial, technical, functional, non-functional and future needs of their organisation. This included company performance, delivery capability, roadmap, feature fit, non-functional fit, continuity etc.
We provided a detailed report of our finding including as-is and to-be requirements, company Due Diligence report, delivery plans and recommendations.
We produced a business case and delivery plan based on Agile Best Practice Methodology.
What was the outcome?
The client accepted our recommendation and mobilised a multi-million-pound project to replace their legacy technology. They invited r10 to run and lead this project with a team comprising of Programme Manager, Project Managers, Scrum Master, Business Analysis, Change Management and PMO.
