We are proud to partner with Single Homeless Project (SHP), a London-wide charity working to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable and socially excluded people to transform their lives.
According to government figures, homelessness is now at its highest level for a decade and rough sleeping in London has more than doubled since 2010, with almost a thousand people sleeping rough in the capital on any one night.
Forty years ago, SHP was founded by homeless people and maintains its purpose of preventing homelessness, transforming lives and promoting systemic change. SHP works with communities across all 32 London boroughs, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing and enhancing opportunity for thousands of people across the capital.
Amechi Peirce-Howe, r10’s Managing Partner, said “We are happy to have SHP as our Charity Partner of the Year. Homelessness has no place in 21st century London. We are advocates of promoting change and transformation, not only in the insurance market, but to the society as a whole. r10 shares SHP’s voice for change and trust in people to shape their own future”.
