Senior PMO

Job Type: Consultant

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW:

Alchemy Technology Services is currently seeking an experienced Senior PMO to support a major programme by driving end-to-end delivery enablement and assurance. Embedded within delivery workstreams and reporting into the central PMO, you will work closely with workstream leads to shape outcome-driven plans, manage critical dependencies, and embed industrialised delivery processes. Acting as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger, you’ll help maintain delivery discipline and ensure alignment across the broader programme.

ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES:

  • Support E2E delivery across workstreams and sub-workstreams, ensuring alignment to the overall programme scope and outcomes.
  • Actively engage with workstream leads to plan, track, and deliver defined outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain E2E roadmaps, outcome-based plans, and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure intra- and inter-workstream dependencies are clearly defined and managed.
  • Integrate workstream plans into the central programme plan and reporting rhythm.
  • Manage tollgate reviews, QA checks, and ensure timely delivery of all change documentation.
  • Enforce delivery standards and tools across workstreams, ensuring consistency and adherence to PMO frameworks.
  • Lead and maintain risk, issue, assumption, and dependency (RAID) logs within the workstreams.
  • Ensure proactive resolution and tracking of key programme dependencies.
  • Work with architecture and solution design teams to ensure solution scope is accurately reflected in delivery plans.
  • Perform reporting analytics and actions arising from health/value-based metrics.
  • Support ongoing reporting requirements to central PMO, including progress updates, risks, and resource demand.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILL-SET:

  • Background in complex, regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in PMO, programme delivery or workstream enablement within large, complex transformation programmes.
  • Proven experience in E2E delivery planning, RAID management, and governance.
  • Ability to work effectively across both centralised PMO functions and embedded delivery teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Experience using project and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Clarity).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on value delivery.
  • Knowledge or exposure to London Market insurance is desirable.
