ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW:
Alchemy London Market is currently seeking an experienced Test Manager for a project focused on delivering high-quality software solutions. The initiative aims to leverage a robust testing framework to validate functionality, performance, and overall stability. The Test Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating all testing activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives, and guaranteeing the quality of deliverables.
In this role, you will support the development and implementation of a comprehensive Test Strategy and Plan for each group and sequence. This includes producing detailed test reports, establishing repeatable test processes, and addressing specific testing requirements.
ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES:
- Create and maintain a comprehensive defect log that includes detailed information on each defect, such as severity, priority, steps to reproduce, affected components, and additional relevant notes.
- Update and share a bi-weekly test completion report to track testing progress, highlight any key issues, and ensure transparency with stakeholders.
- Execute a wide range of test scenarios to ensure that the product remains stable and meets its defined functional requirements.
- Provide day-to-day support for test execution activities, including confirming test scenarios, ensuring queries are answered promptly, and facilitating any necessary clarifications to streamline testing efforts.
- Participate in various project meetings Daily Stand ups, Defect Triage Meetings, Lessons Learnt.
- Engage with technical, team members, and participants to obtain the necessary information to create test artefacts.
- Ensure test scenarios are accurately maintained.
- Log issues accurately to enable accurate issue resolution.
- Ensure test results, replication steps for issues, and status updates are accurately captured.
- Provide test status updates as required, daily, and for MI reporting.
- Lead the test team, ensuring consistency and high level of quality across all testing.
- Collaborate with other design, test, and delivery teams to ensure a joined-up picture of issues, that defects are escalated appropriately, and that management is kept informed.
YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILL-SET:
- Proficiency with testing tools: Zephr, Virtuoso, Confluence, Jira.
- Hands-on experience in defect logging, prioritisation, tracking, and resolution.
- Experience with defect triage and root cause analysis processes.
- Experience within the London Market/Insurance.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
